The 2025 conference will focus on the WWGS’s Guiding Principles of ‘Unlearning and Reconstructing’. Save the date!

This workshop is about how we can put fundraising in context and scaffold fundraising activities with teaching and learning, while also offering other ways in which learners can take meaningful action to play their part in changing the world.

This workshop will give the right tools and right ways to educators to approach the crises that society is facing, from climate change to conflict, in a safe and balanced way in the classroom.

This year, after many years online, we are piloting an in person student conference! We look forward to bringing some Global Citizenship Education (GCE) students together from all over Ireland to learn, share and engage with GCE.

This workshop will help teachers to bring a broader global perspective to their teaching and learning. Advice will also be given on the ESD funding available to schools to apply for.

This workshop will outline the WWGS approach, including the 5 Guiding Principles that underlie all our Global Citizenship Education (GCE). Highly recommended, both as an introduction and a refresher, for any teachers involved with GCE.

CSPE Guide Launch WWGS will launch our CSPE guide in the Mary Robinson Centre, Ballina on the 2nd of May from 11.00-2.00. This is a great opportunity to share good practice vis a vis Global Citizenship Education in the CSPE classroom as well as we explore some of the teaching and learning activities in the new guide. Representatives from school leadership, our teacher advisory group, and education panel will provide many examples of progress, and quality GCE, taking place in the classroom and wider school community. We will also use the occasion to officially announce the successful applicants of The WWGS Global Passport Award 2024.

We are delighted to invite you to share your story at our Annual National Teacher conference ‘Stories of Solidarity’ on February 1st 2024 in De La Salle Pastoral Centre, Castletown, Co Laois.
