The Outsiders: Children living in direct provision in Ireland

The aim of this Teaching and Learning Unit for Junior Cycle is to encourage teachers and students to question preconceptions about asylum seekers and refugees, and to raise their awareness about the realities for people living in direct provision in Ireland, in the context of the ongoing global refugee crisis. It is based on a radio documentary ‘The Outsiders: Our teenage life behind barriers’.
