According to the Geography’s Curriculum, studying Geography encourages students to ‘appreciate the processes that shape their world and view global issues as ethical citizens’ so that they can ‘make valuable contributions to the economic, social, and cultural life of their communities, localities and countries’ on issues such as sustainable development and climate change. This resource aims to support teachers of Geography to teach through the lens of Global Citizenship/ Development Education.
The guide meets the requirements as laid out in the junior cycle Geography specification, and in the (2015) Framework for junior cycle.
