Stamp 1, Curricular: Part 6.

Measuring and reporting on DE learning

Evaluating your DE activities within the schools allows you to see the impact the work is having on students and teachers, and can inform school planning processes. This can range from allocating time for reflection, evaluation and feedback following your activities; to a systematic evaluation process measuring the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes and action of those involved at the beginning and end of DE activity.

Below are some resources and practical school examples to guide you through implementing this stamp category:

Resources:

Self-Assessment Tool (SAT)

The SAT is a WWGS tool designed to monitor and evaluate the impact Development Education has had on students and teachers involved in DE activities within their school. We provide templates and1 page guide on how to use this – measuring the knowledge, skills, attitudes & values, and action of those involved before and after a DE activity. The SAT is designed to be flexible to measure the indicators relevant to your project. Please also see the attached ‘Sample Indicators List’ for other ideas for what you can measure. Feel free to adapt these to the specific learning outcomes of your DE project.
