A strong commitment to GCE and global citizenship is often found in the schools mission statement. Where possible we encourage schools to embed DE values into this and actively reinforce it in school life.

Here are some examples from the applications of Global Passport Awardees. These provide some great examples for what your school can do in this school category:

Coláiste Bhaile Chláir, Galway

Our mission statement states that ‘Our students will graduate as lifelong learners who will make valuable contributions to society; and have strong values which develop respect for themselves and others in the global community’.
